Why are there two special keys?

As you have noticed, both F and J have bumps you can feel — but why do they have those tactile marks?

Very simple: so you can find both letters with your fingers while watching the screen, without needing to look at the keyboard.

When practicing touch typing the hands must be placed in a special way, and it is very useful to locate F and J without taking your eyes off the screen.

Look at the following image to see the position of the index fingers and thumbs.

For the next exercise you must find F and J with the index finger of each hand and press them repeatedly as indicated on the screen.

The space bar is that long key at the bottom of the keyboard. Press it with whichever thumb you prefer.
