The dollar symbol $

Dollar symbol $ usually refers to United States currency, but over twenty other countries also use a dollar sign for their local dollar (Canadian, Australian, ...).

First let's locate this symbol then we will press them.

As you can see, dollar sign $ is on top of the number 4 key. To type it, you need to hold Shift ⇧ and press the 4 key. Here is an animation showing how to do it:
