Unit 5:Pressing the R, T, Y and U keys

Read the following text carefully and press Continue once you've read and understood everything.

Pressing the R, T, Y and U keys

If you're reading this you answered both quiz questions correctly, so you already figured out:

  • R and T are pressed with the left index finger (same one used for F and G).
  • Y and U are pressed with the right index finger (same one used for J and H).

To make it even easier, here's another image to help you recall the new keys without overthinking.

As explained in the previous unit, you'll slide the appropriate index finger upward, press the key, then return that finger to its home spot. In this case, both index fingers must come back to F and J respectively.

At first T and Y may feel harder than R and U. Don't worry—like everything else it's just practice. Soon it'll feel natural.
