Capital letters on the keyboard

There are two ways to type capital letters on a keyboard. In this unit we will look at both.

We start with the Shift key (used for capital letters). Keyboards usually show it with the symbol , an upward pointing arrow.

There are two Shift keys: one on the left side and one on the right side of the keyboard, both on the same row. The right one is longer than the left one. You can see them here:

If you have not found them yet, take a few seconds to locate them.

Don't worry if in the picture you see the word Shift and on your keyboard only the arrow ; it's the same key.
